: Susan, according to the story, Foanio didn't exsist until the 1920's. Up to that point, it was spelled Faonio. Seems the local school board couldn't read grand mams hand writing and swtiched the a & o.

My name is Jonn Faonio. I was born in Germany, but my parents are from italy, but they leave my when I was young, so I have no contakt, but I try to find my Grandpa and Grandma. But till now cant find them. So perhabs zou are a member of my family??
