Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about the FREE Homepage Self-Listing & Family Query Message Board Service.



  • 1. How many times may I post my surname homepage?

    Only ONE time. If your URL changes, add ONE more posting and then send me a message so that I can "edit off" your previous entry. Do NOT add multiple postings, I will remove multiple listings ASAP! Write me if you have concerns or questions: Webmaster.


  • 2. What is the "subject line" format for my entry?

    Always use the "NAME" of your HOMEPAGE for the subject line. That is what will attract visitors to your site. Try to make the name of your homepage relavant to your "family surname" or to your genealogy materials on-line.


  • 3. Can I put html tags in my comments (message) section?

    No. It will only appear as regular text and symbols. See item #6 below.


  • 4. Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?

    Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document.


  • 5. Why didn't my post show up?

    Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled the file out of it's cache. Please RELOAD your browser and it should then appear.


  • 6. How can I "HOT LINK" my website in my posting in the self-listings?

    Add your URL only in the section labeled as "Optional Link URL". This URL entry box is located immediately below the "message" box. Do not put your URL in the Message box since it will not "hot link" there. Enjoy!
