I am seeking info about my GGrandmother Anna Elizabeth ( Winney)Spencer and her family.

In the Census of 1870, she was an under-one year old child in the home of her father Henry (William Henry) WINNEY. Her mother was (Sarah) Elizabeth Taylor, b. 1853 in Wisconsin. By the time a second daughter was born in 1873, (Sarah) Elizabeth died and the daughter, Cora, died; so probably the deaths were the result of the childbirth situation. They are both buried at the Scott Cemetery In Grant Co., Wisconsin.

(Sarah) Elizabeth's parents were Jonathon and Mary Ann Taylor. I have nothing else about them and would surely like to know more. I can't seem to find these Taylors in the Census Records.

My GGrandmother had the appearance of being American Indian and I was told that she was at least partially American Indian. Her Grandmother was born in Missouri and I have had more than one person tell me that due to the intermarriage of fur traders and Indians in that region that this could be the origins of all of our "Indian looks." Her Grandmother's name was Anna E. Blessing. She married W.J. Winney from New York.

Thank you for any information!

Sincerely,
Kathleen
