I am looking for information on the surname Arsua. It is from the Basque province, Alava, in Spain. My g-grandfather was Manuel Fernandez Arsua. He was born in Everglades City, Florida in 1919. His mother was Mary Agnes Hamilton and his father was Fernando Arsua. I have been told that Fernando was from Cuba but may have been living in Miami, FL or a place called Lostman's River near the Everglades. Manuel's mother never married his bio-father, but she did later marry William Raleigh Wiggins. Together they had a son, William Curtis Wiggins. Manuel Arsua died in Tavernier, Florida 8/28/1991 (above Key West). He had married Mary Elizabeth Albury, born 1/2/1923, she died in Tavernier, FL. 5/23/1998. Her parents were Robert Willard Albury and Teresa Claire O'Donoghue. Teresa was born in Belmont, NC, 6/22/1899 and died in Tavernier 1/15/1972.
: Manuel sometimes went by the name Manuel Robert Wiggins, in honor of the stepfather that raised him.
