I am trying to trace my partners ancestry but am finding that I am coming up against brick walls!!!! All I know is that his name comes from Lithuania and that GERWAT is only the middle part of the surname. I guess the beginning and the end was "thrown away" for sake of easiness!!! If you can find out the rest of the surname so then I can make more accurate searches.
