My name is Diana M Lyerson-Breland and I am looking for my family with the last name of Lyerson. My last name is a dutch name and a bit unusual for an african-american. From what I can uncover the last name may be the result of slaves taking on the name of the slave owner or Capt of the ship that transported them to America.
