Although I now live in Solihull, West Midlands, my parents & grandparents all lived in Stoke-On -Trent, Staffordshire, U.K.
The name does in fact originate from Staffs. Seabridge is a village just outside Newcastle-Under Lyme, in Staffordshire.
The name, rather unromantically, given it's connotations to the sea, actually means "worker on the land"! My paternal grandfather, was Harold Eli, born on 14th September 1900 in Burslem.
