Capt. James Giles fought for South Carolina in the Revolutionary War and later fought Indians in S.C. or Ga. We think he was killed in 1795 or before 1824 by Indians. His wife Susanna Patterson was from County Antrim. We think the Giles Family immigrated to Colonies in 1759. I am seeking the parents and other ancestors of Susanna b 1744 & James b 1742. I would alos like to know where each was born. Susanna is buried in Rocky River Presbyterian Cemetary in Abbeville, S.C.Their son Andrew also married an Irishwoman Sarah Cowan Patterson fro County Down, Ireland. Andrew was my great great grandfather. We are having a family reunion in Abbeville the end of April and I would like to find out more before then if possible. Thank You, Carolyn
