I am also looking for information about a Robert Dory.
I'm not sure if this will help us in our search or just add another piece to the puzzle...
but my great-great grandfather's name was Robert Dory and he was born in County Clare, Ireland. He married Ellen Heatherman from Limerick, Ireland and they immigrated to America in the early to mid-1980s. They settled in Athena, Ohio and their daughter, Ella Dory was born there.
Ella Dory married Charles Steiner, they lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and had a son named Raymond who was born in 1903. He married Mary Leininger in Cincinnati and they had two daughters, Barbara and Margaret. Margaret was born in 1931 and I am Margaret's daughter.
