Hello Bruce,
My GGGrandfather John McGowan left Armagh Cty. in about 1833+- and came to Canada. He was married to Bridget Murray and his eldest 2 children came with him. They were Eliza & Mary. John was born in either 1898 or 1899. I have a large family tree of offspring but I have yet to trace him or Bridget back to Ireland.
