Julia,a daughter of C and S maher,b.1827 (approx)Naas,Tipperary.The family left Ireland for Australia maybe mid 1844.Julia meet her prospective husband in the 58th regiment in Dublin.His name being John Richardson Mitchell,b.2/4/1821 in Stamford,Lincolnshire,Eng.They met again in N.S.W.and married in Parramatta,Aust.on the 26/4/1847.Julias father was a sergent in the 58th reg.Sergent Maher and family left Sydney and headed north and was stationed at Port MacQuarrie early 1845.Julia and John settled in NZ from 10/7/1847 onwards.Julia d.13/9/1916.Greatgrandson searching for any decendants.Jack Mitchell is the searcher.
