Gerhard ~ as born in Prussia and his father was German. He died in the Breese township from Typhoid Fever ~w.hich he had for 14 days. He had been a resident in the Illinois for 25 years which means he came to IL around 1854. Henry's father died when he was around 13 years old. His mother later remarried a Fnederich Mentarnever and had six more children to which 2 died as infants. They lived in the Centralia. IL area.
