From what I know about Havicons in the British Isles, there are only a small number remaining -- my mother, my three half brothers and their young children. My father (Terence Havicon) and I were both born in Ipswich, Suffolk; my grandfather (Alexander Havicon) hailed from Hull, Yorkshire; and from what has been passed down, his family came into England from Ireland. Previous to that, I believe Havicons arrived in Ireland from France or Holland, and the name may have originally have hailed from Scandinavia. However, this, I'm afraid , is all hear say from people who have passed on.
If you have any other information, I would be really interested to find out more.
