My grandfather's name was Josef (Joseph), and he lived in the Utica/Rome area of NY, which I suppose Noo Yawk City people would call "upstate", even though it's right in the center.
His wife's name was Rosa Plyska, and they had 6 children: Anne, Henry, Stanley, Peter, Michael, & Chester.
