My Mitchell lines date back to the time of the Pilgrims and the Mayflower. Experience Mitchell came to America on the third ship "Ann" in 1623 and married the daughter of Francis Cooke of the "Mayflower Company"...her name was Jane...their children, according to his will were:
Thomas, John, Jacob, Edward, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah & Hannah.
Eventually this Mitchell line moved north to Maine, which was, in those days and up until 1820 a part of Massachusetts. This line is also related to members of the Brown, Drinkwater, Elwell and Loring families, among others. I have extensive information...I hope this is of some assistence to you.
