I'm probably no help, as I know very little about my immediate family. But just in case...
My father is Francis Joseph Lally, born around 1953(probably coincidence of a religeous country but the middle name struck me) he was born in Liverpool. Either my grandfather or great grandfather came to Liverpool from Ireland and married Christine a local girl. They separated when my father was a child so I never knew or met him.
