Are your referring to John Stillman who eventually owned Dillards department stores. He was from southern Indiania early 1900's. His son Jack stillman was producer of How the West was Won and Bonanza. Jack Stillman jr, is married to songstress Margret Whiting, whose father wrote the many classics while Margret sang and wrote her own broadway hits, which don't come tomind at the moment. Jack was/is famed for his homosexual films from the 70's and 80's. His credits I hear I quite long and is one of the biggest cult figures in the gay community around the world today. He and his wife were just on Larry King Live not too long ago, I believe they still live in Beverly Hills, Ca where the Stillman's lived for years on Roxbury drive, next to Jack Benny and Lucille Ball. I think this is the Stillman family you are looking for.
