Interested in any info re the Bernau family. My great grandfather was Ferdinand Wilhelm Ludwig Bernau. Born in 1827, I think in Brandenburg, emigrated to London. Had bootmaking and leatherware business in St. James. Died Margate 1889.
Think at least one brother also emigrated to London. And that he had at least one son as well as my grandfather.
At his address at time of death was an Ada Bernau, may have been a niece.
