Claude was born on August 9, 1888 in Loogootee, Indiana. Apparently Dr. J.W. Strange had something to do with his birth because I have a copy of a letter verifying his birthdate. I have him located in Galveston County, Texas in the 1920 census with a wife: Addie Taylor Mitchell, son, William and daughter Margaret. Claude's father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in Oklahoma. His father was Marion G. Mitchell and his mother was Nancy Emmeline. Marion was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lamar Lodge 189. Would be interested in hearing and sharing what I know. Thanks in advance for any help. Mary Jane Pipes Frank
