I am searching for my father. His name is Mohammed Abdul (Mohyee or Majeed) Mir. It is
possible that "Mir" is a name of Pakistani origin, though my father was from Saudi Arabia.
I believe he was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the Royal Saudi Air
Force. Mohammed Mir was in Cheyenne, Wyoming USA as early as 1956 and at least as late as
1957. I have a letter, given to me by my grandmother, that was marked "Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia-Royal Saudi Air Force, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia." It is postmarked Dec. 1961. It also
has type that says: "From: Mohammed A. Mir via/Mr. Fouad Johari. Royal Saudi Air Force
Supply Dept. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia." Mr. Johari's name may also be: Ahmad Fouad Salah. On
the top corner of the letter it is marked: "Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia - Salah Airlines of
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
Since my father was in the Saudi Air Force, and stationed on a U.S. base in Wyoming, I was
hoping that some military or immigration record of him can be found. I have contacted the
Air Force, the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C. and many other resources. All say that they
can’t help. I am now conducting my own search and asking for help from anyone that may have
been in Wyoming in 1957, or may have worked with the Air Force or the Saudi government in
order to get Saudi nationals stationed on a U.S. base.
I was born in 1957, as Michael Leo Czoske. My mother, Ingeborg Czoske, met Mohammed Mir
on F.E. Warren AFB. I have no memory of my father & have never spoken with him. I would
like to find him, and therein, find out about me. I would deeply appreciate any help in locating
my father, or Mr. Johari.
