I am looking for my PAPAWS,Ha Ha. William Brown I have no date no spouse, his son was Moses Brown born 1772 or 1776,Moses studied herbal medicine from the Indians, he came to Tn from Yellow Creek, KY, before that Wilkes Co, or Surry Co NC.It has always been told that he was from Scotland, he ran with the Duncan family alot, possibly in Orange Co. NC, or VA. He married Benjamin Duncans daughter,Elizabeth Duncan. Elizabeth was born in Wilkes Co.NC. The Browns and the Duncans were the 1st families of Tn., FrostBottom, Oliver Springs. Along withe Frost families. I tried to find William Brown maybe in these counties but Bell County KY records were destroyed I am told. In Wilkes Co.or Surry Co.there were alot of William Browns,I can only find one that might have son name Moses Brown, but I not sure this the one. As he had 2 wifes in Ohio, and it said he died in Missouri, his dates match by Moses. If anyone can help me trace my family or knows something, plese get in touch. Thank You for your time in advance. CowAnn
