I am trying to find the ancestors of the Ruel Family, who's lineage range from the United Kingdom. I can go back five generations to Francis Edward Ruel - born 1792 - died 1863 who married Eliza Green in May,1816 they had 6 children, who's names i have. Trying to go back further, which is hard, because they originated from France or Germany, was told the name could have originally been spelt Ruehl, but married into the French line andd changed the spelling. Would be grateful for any help.
