I have begun a preliminary search of my antecedents.
For starters, I would like to get information on:
1) George Couch (c.1832-1929) , born in Ireland and moved to Cortland-Homer NY area abut the time of the US Civil War. His wife's name was Julia. They lived in Cortland NY. They had a large family. Most Couchs seem to be Protestnats. What sets this Family of Couchs is that they were RCs.
2) William Couch (c.1870-??). He was born in Cortland-Homer. "Uncle Willie" was famed in family lore as having owned a saloon. I would guess that he lived in Syracuse or some where in Up-State New York. He probalby never married.

I descend from George Couch, Jr. The son of George & the younger brother of William. He moved to Brantford, Ontarion about 1900 when the Cortland Carriage Co set up a branch there. He died in 1939. He was my grandfather.
