John Paton was born about 1804, unk.location in Scotland. He married Sarah Wallace on 3 Sept. 1824 in Paisley,Renfrew,Scotland. They Had the following children Barbara born 2 April 1826 Paisley, Elizabeth born about 1828,James born abt. 1830,John born abt. 1830,Sarah born abt.1832.
Barbara married John Bridges 9 March 1850 in Dalry,Ayr.
She was my Great Great Grandmother, They had the following childrenThomas born 19 Feb. 1857,John born 10 May 1859,Marion born 1860,Robert born 19 June 1861,
Jane born 1862,Barbara born 10 May 1863,Margaret born 3 April 1865,Unk. Female born 3 Jan 1867,Sarah born 1869, all the children were born in Dalry,Ayr. as far as I can find out. John was a coalminer living at 168
Long Row, Auchinleck,Ayr,Scotland according to the 1881 census, at that time he was widower. John and some
of his children moved to the U.S. about 1883, they were living in Fulton county Illinois in 1891.
John Paton was baker in Dalry,Ayr. in 1850.
