I am searching for information on Mary Prior . She married John Scott in the Greenbrier Area of Virginia before 1763. At 14 she was captured by Indians along with her mother and small sibling of 6 months. The Indians had massacred her father, several family members and the family slaves in the Greenbrier Area. Her baby sibling and her mother were killed on the march to the Indian camp. Mary later escaped and made her way across the Ohio River to a KY fort where she was adopted by an officier and returned to the Greenbrier Area . She and John Scott Later Moved to around Lextoning KY area around 1777. I am trying to prove the Indian attack story and find out more abt her family. We believe her father was named John Prior.
